    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

My local Maxol charges 124.9 at the moment. The nearest Applegreen to me charges 118.8!

Careful where you shop folks, Maxol is usually one of the most expensive ones in my experience.

I find them very competitive actually, trailing by only a cent or 2. So for 5cents off it makes perfect cents to me.

Maxol at Harolds Cross coming up as 101.7c for diesel for me on www.pumps.ie

Suggest getting the 50 liter max limit or it wont be worth your while really - €50.85 - €48.35 - €0.90 = €1.60

    Thanks OP!

My advice is, bring your voucher into the shop before you fill up. During the last 3c off per litre promotion, Maxol Gorey refused to honour the voucher even though they were named on the list of participating stations.

Was the coupon just in today's paper or is it in tomorrow's too? Did anyone actually use it in Harold's x?

Herald has a coupon on page 2. Paper costs 90c.
Get 5c a litre off petrol or diesel at participating Maxol stations nationwide. 8th February - 17th February, max of 50l in a single transaction.

Break even amount is at least 18 Litres.

At 50 Litres you've saved €1.60, that's less than eleven minutes at minimum wage of €9.15 an hour. Less if Maxol is more expensive or you drive further to get there.

And if you drive a typical car more than a mile out of your way for each penny you save on the per-gallon price, it doesn't matter how worthless your time is to you--the gas to get you there and back costs more than you save.
