Do you look your age?

People tend to be quite surprised when they find out how old I am. I don't go around telling people or anything like that but if I say things like "god it's probably 15 years since I was in that niteclub" I get funny looks.

I got chatted up by a 19 year German boy last weekend. He didn't seem too phased by the fact I am old enough to be his mother (if his mother had a child in her teens :P), but I was certainly phased by it!!!!

It's great, I love looking younger than my years, long may it continue!

Do you look your age? Older or younger?

I'm gonna need pictorial evidence of this whoops.
Depending on the beard, anywhere between early 20s or early 30s

    Not off me he didn't!

He was very pretty, tall, pale skin, and had red hair, looked more danish than German. Very nice. But no, I'm not that much of a cougar ;) :P

I've been told I look like I'm in my early to mid 20s, when I'm actually in my mid 30s.

I've been ID'd as recently as last year!

The years, all of them, have definitely left their mark on me. When I am fit I can look younger... But am rarely fit.

I'm told I look a lot younger... Maybe 18/19 when I'm 25. I hate when I've to meet work clients and they see me coming, I always wonder are thinking how old am I and why are we trusting her with our business affairs...:o

I'm 27 and my hairline is what I consider quite receded so I sometimes think I look like I'm in my 30's, but then I still get ID'd in shops so maybe it's a case of me being my harshest critic.

I'm not jelly *puke smiley*, I look much younger than my age. I don't start threads to proclaim this though...

It's hard to know. Nobody ever comments one way or the other. My wife says I only look 65 but she's biased in the extreme.

Sure don't they say you're only as old as the person you feel...

I may have worded that wrong

Gonna be honest, you're a bit too young looking there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,194 ✭✭✭✭jimgoose

I'm fresh enough for 44. I have good hair, and probably could get away with late-thirtiesish kind of thing when freshly-shaven. Having said that, I have been described as a "Fifty-year-old man!" by chungwans. In fairness they probably consider anyone over 35 to be technically dead, only still moving for some reason. So girls, if you're watching, this 'un's for you! :pac:

Got asked if I had a student card when I was buying a train ticket a few weeks back.

    I haven't had a student card in 12 years.

I'm not really sure, TBH. I suppose I do if I'm clean shaven. I've been mistaken for being at least five years older if I have any sort of facial hair.

Yeah I get guesses of mid 30's whereas I'm in my mid 40's

I've got greying hair, slight thinning on the crown and a bear with a grey chin. 31, but look probably closer to 40. Haven't been asked for ID in 2 years, and that was in Vegas.

Honestly don't know, not sure what someone my age is meant to look like. Don't care, why is looking young something to aspire to.

Don't look my age had my doctor tell me last week I'm very young to have a 2 year old at my age , I asked him what age he thought I was "17" ... I'm 25 and usually get weird looks from people on the bus with my daughter had an old guy tell me once that I should be still in school what was I doing having a child so young

Probably look older than I am but it'd depend on whether I've a beard or not

Yeah, I get the feeling someone isn't being totally honest

    How very dare you :P

The thread was started because of a conversation I was having with a friend immediately prior to starting it, we were talking about "exercise, moderation, and non alcoholic beer" as he put it and showing our age as a result. I said I should stop being lazy, drinking too much, and take up non alcholic beer. I said I should do these things while I still look younger and hopefully can try and preserve my youth if I do them early enough. We then decided fcuk that, we're going off to find a drug fuelled orgy instead.

I'll start a new thread on putting myself down instead, that would go down much better I think :D

No, you should start a thread about migrants, the dole, or compensation culture. Nothing else will suffice. :P

Actually, we haven't had cyclists in a while.

I'm one of those now so I'll have to start one about terrible drivers instead :D

Mmm. Those sunbeds are a disaster then, because decades of heavy drinking, fast-food and smoking have left me rather ruggedly, devilishly handsome, old fruit. Oh yes. It's good to be bad. :pac::pac::pac:

Up until I was 25 I was getting asked in some shops for ID when I went to buy a Lotto ticket.

I overheard someone in work in say on my birthday last year that I was extremely young looking for 29 so I suspect I look a bit younger than my age.

    Considering I don't drink,smoke or do drugs.
Have a healthy lifestyle, eat well and try to stay away from stressful situations.

I CONSIDER MYSELF A HEALTHY LOOKING GUY IN HIS EARLY 40'$

I'd say I look about my age now, but based on my man, aunts and granny, I'll look younger than I am when I'm in my 40s and onward. They all have great skin and hair.

If I take care of myself and avoid their weight gain, things are looking good for my middle age!

I apparently look at least 7years older than I am because people always say I'm the oldest out of me and my sister.

I'm gonna look haggard when I actually get older :(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,400 ✭✭✭Medusa22

I don't know really, I'm 27 and I think I look my age to be honest. I wouldn't say that I look older, and sometimes people think I am younger but I wonder if they are being polite or trying to get in my pants or both :pac:

My sister is 30 though and people think that she is my younger sister, now that pisses me off :(

I look a good bit younger than my age. I'm 23 and can still pass for 17/18 pretty easy.
