I have made a JSA appeal after being refused in December,How long are delays at the moment.I have been told it can take 6 weeks however looking at past threads here it seems that many have waited a year or more?

What was the grounds of the refusal and what evidence have you presented to support your appeal?

Grounds were that i was not eligible as i was not available for full time employment,There was some confusion as i was also looking for positions abroad.

My appeal stated that i was fully available and provided numerous examples of positions applied for in Ireland.

Why were you not available for full-time employment ? You have to be genuinely seeking work and show proof of this to avail of the jobseekers allowance, so unless you told them that you are not seeking full-time employment then it seems strange. Did you refuse a course from your one to one meeting at any stage ?.

    It's an odd one
If at one point a DA officer asked you if you are available for full time work and you said "not really because......." then you would need to be able to provide evidence that you have ceased doing whatever it was that was preventing you from being available
There's a difference between "looking for" and being "available for" in SW parlance

Well the appeal has been allowed and more importantly i am back to work,
2 weeks ago i got the letter and i am still waiting on the local office to issue a payment,They said they would make a decision shortly and requested bank statements,
I submitted this over a week ago and still nothing.
