UPC/Virgin Cisco box

I have a UPC account and am in between addresses. I need to stay with a friend for a few weeks. He has upc but does not bother with broadband. If I just brought my black cisco box over and plug it in, will my wifi work ? Its the old cisco (co ax connection). I want to leave the tv box in storage and just bring the cisco.…

Nope, it won't register on the CMTS.

Get a 20E three sim card and you can tether with unlimited data.
