animal for the freezer

    He have a fresian heifer that we think didn't go in calf. Anyway she is a month as least from finishing. thinking of keeping her for the freezer, any tips ? and is it worth it ?

    Get a big freezer and insure it. Make sure you use a reputable butcher that will give you back your own meat. We got stung with half a freezer full of meat that wasn't obviously the same animal as the other half.
    Anytime we done a heifer before we would put her incalf as it supposably made her more tender.
