The Cuban schism meeting - Feb 12th Pope Francis and Russian Orthodox Patriarch

They are putting their differences aside so to come together to try and tackle Christian persecution in the middle east.
It will be the first time the heads of the two churches will have met since the schism back in 1054.

They will met in Cuba at the airport for two hours and sign a joint declaration.

Best of luck to them. Good to see differences being put aside for the common good.

I would love to know the gist of that article. It was claimed by both sides that the recent Christian bloodshed particularly in the middle east sparked the need for unity and let to this meeting.
