I have a Bosch dishwasher that is not heating. I've checked the actual heater and ot seems ok (continuity test).Although the machine is filling and will go into cycle the power in the wash motor seems very poor,i.e the lower wash arm does not rotate at all. Would this in any way affect the heating side of things?
Any ideas what to do,the machine is 10 years old.
    Thanks for reading.

Yes, if the wash impellar is clogged up it will have heating issues, on the most of these era of d/w it is quite a big job to get at the circulation pump , screws front and back that attach the base and door springs have to be removed before you can remove the base , then the pump and heater asy. have to be dismantled to access the impellar . Usual reason for this happening is that the rectangular filter isn't properly located before washing. If you attempt repairs mark the pump body with a marker before you split it, makes it easier for re assembly

Thanks very much for that info.
Given the age of the machine i'm not sure if the repair is worth it.
Looks like a problematic job and knowing my luck, the motor itself could be faulty anyway!!
I'll have a look at it the weekend and make my mind up then.
    Thanks again.
