Is anyone know if I can buy Irish porridge(2-3kg) in Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport shops? My luggage weight limits will be on the limit can't add anything else.

They typically don't weigh carry-on bags so just buy it in your local shop and carry it with you on to the plane. I assume you mean dry oat flakes and not porridge in liquid form? You're not flying Ryanair if you're flying from T2 so you shouldn't have a problem. Your carry on bags would need to be very bulky looking before Aer Lingus will ask to weigh them, only ever happened me once.

They've been getting worse for this recently, nearly every flight out of Dublin I've had in the last while (Turkish, Emirates & Etihad) have all weighed my carry on luggage at the check-in desk.

Thankfully the last time I was going through I managed to distract the guy at the desk so he forgot after him having initially asked to weigh my bag. It was about 1.5 times the limit.

Sling it over your shoulder so they can only see the strap when you're checking in. I've only flown Aer Lingus and Ryanair for the past few years and neither of them has asked to weigh my carry-on in a long time but naturally accept what you say about those other airlines.

Buy a bag before you travel & pack it in plastic bag from Tesco, or the kind of bag a kid would take their lunch to school in. Put it at your feet when you are checking in, so it out of sight of the staff behind the check in desk. If someone does see it and asks you what it is, say its your lunch & you are going to eat it in the terminal before you fly, as you hate airline food, or you are a diabetic/coeliac etc etc. Have a banana or something sticking out of it, so its looks legit. Once you are checked in and are safely out of sight, stash it in your carry on bag.

You won't have any problem with Aer Lingus.
