    Hi everyone,

I was wondering if someone might help me out with a suggestion? I live beside 3 Arena and work in Sandyford (Stillorgan luas stop). Usually I get the luas from the Point to Abbey st, walk across to Stephens Green and get on the luas there.

Luas strike made my life a misery.... I am not a Dublin native,no idea how these bus stop number, routes etc work.

Does anyone know what is the quickest way to get to the Point to Sandyford (near Microsoft building)? Thank you any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would suggest Dublin Bus route 47 from Ringsend Village (walk across the East Link bridge) from stop 356 (http://www.dublinbus.ie/en/RTPI/Sources-of-Real-Time-Information/?searchtype=map&searchquery=(53.341903,-6.226722,356)).

It heads out through Sandymount and Stillorgan.

    The timetable is here:

Allow about 5 minutes for the bus to get to Ringsend from the terminus departure time.

Alternatively, if those times don't work (it is infrequent), then Dublin Bus route 11 from O'Connell Street - but I would expect it to be jammed.

The final option is DART from Grand Canal Dock to Blackrock and Dublin Bus route 114 from there:

    DART timetable is here:

    114 timetable is here:

Would you cycle. Under 6 miles. About 30 - 40 minutes mins at leisurely pace. Quicker coming home.

    East Link/Shortcut to Ringsend/South Lotts road/Shelbourne road/Anglesea road/Clonskeagh road/Goatstown/Benildus Avenue and youre there.

    Mostly against the traffic too..

Seaswimmer I cant cycle, had a bit of traumatic experience cycling when i was little and it completely put me off cycling.

lxflyer yes, i took bus 11 from OConnell st before, gets me into work in about 1hr 30m but i would have to walk to Oconnell st. I thought maybe there will be a quicker way. Thank you very much for the suggestions and links! I will check them out.

The 47 will be much quicker for you given it serves Ringsend, but the first bus is only at 07:40.
