Hi. I'm just wondering if you ever found anyone? I'm pretty much in the same position. 6 months pregnant & can't face step ladders.

Will these paints be VOC free?

It depends on the painter & what they use.

Do pregnant women consider the health risks associated with painting their house/ child's room.

Of course. Oddly enough most pregnant women are conscious of the dangers of alcohol, cigarettes, eating too much, eating too little, eating the wrong foods, drugs, cats, lifting, standing, sitting, chemicals, rollercoasters and the millions of other dangers during pregnancy.
VOCs are not just a risk for pregnant people, but all people.

I bought my own nursery approved paint & checked with my midwife & doctor prior to doing so.

I also have the advantage that my in laws live very close so I can stay with them if the house needed ventilation.

I was pointing out that individual painters may or may not use suitable to paints. It depends on the painter & company as to what paints they use.

Bring pregnant seems to be a go ahead to be judged on nearly every decision you make, so I hope I'm not coming across as a wagon. Just someone who didn't feel the need to point out the potential dangers in painting as these days given that everything is classes as dangerous most pregnant women live on Google/Wiki advice which may not always be accurate.
