BMW 520 2004 (E60) electrical problems

    Hi all.
I have a 2004 BMW 520 petrol from new and over the last 6 months it has started giving trouble that hopefully you can advise me on (apart from scrapping it!)
The first thing that went was the phones bluetooth completely followed by the radio intermittently cutting out. Next to go were the fans for the heating - at first intermittently and shortly after they went for good. I have a feeling it is electrical and not mechanical although I could be wrong.
Any hints on what it is and if I can get it fixed cheaply and where?
    Thanks

Could be your phone module. It can cause all kinds of crazy symptoms. Fact that it went out first would also lead me in that direction.

Final stage blower resistor packs would be a common enough problem with regards your interior fan. is the bluetooth kit aftermarket or was it installed with the car?

Check if the voltage is low on your battery, a low battery can cause a load of problems on 5 Series.

Best to check the wiring behind the radio first to see if all connection are secure.
