    Hi all,

I've tried to look through previous posts but they are all old.

I've just moved to Wexford for 6 months and am interested in joining a gym. Ideally I'd like somewhere I can get personal training 1-2 times a week.
Recommendations for a decent gym, that has personal trainers available, at a decent price?
    Thanks a mil

Kind of depends exactly what you are looking for.

Talbot Hotel (http://www.talbotwexford.ie/Membership.html) has a nice gym I find is probably my preference. The weight section is small enough, but the equipment is good and its nice and quiet in the mornings when I usually attend (they open at 06:30). It's about €170 or so for 6 months gym and pool. Bogdan is very good and will asses you and provide a training plan.

I've heard Clayton-Whites Hotel gym (http://www.claytonwhiteshotel.com/leisure/gym/) is nice too, as is Whitford Hotel supposedly (http://www.whitfordhotelwexford.ie/leisure-centre)

There is more upmarket gyms, where you will pay a larger fee (usually €50 per week) where you will gain intense personal training. For that, try Health 3.0 (http://damienwade.ie/). They will provide an all round service such as diet etc. also.

All the above of course do various classes such as kettle bells if that is your thing.

    Hope this helps.

Ferrybank swimming pool has a pay as you go option, can also buy a card of 10 visits - not sure about the gym but for the pool it is €40 for the card, so €4 a pop. I've yet to have mine stamped the first day when buying it which gives you 11 visits for 10. Excellent facility at those prices.
