Insulation Recommendation

    Can any recommendations and insulation suitable for insulating a granite wall with lime rendering /plaster in a property over one hundred years old.

    Leca, hemplime, calcium silicate, aerogel, cork, certain wood-fibre boards etc

    Potential for Moisture etc of the wall would be a factor in your decision

    Thanks for the reply. One room will be a bedroom & the other a kitchen, would they need a different insulator??

    As far as I know it'll just be vents in the walls.
    Is there other ventilation I should consider

    Mechanical extract in kitchen & bathroom etc as a min.

    It was just when you said 'potential for moisture' would be a factor in the insulation needed that I thought there'd be more moisture created in a kitchen than a bedroom so wasn't sure if that would make a difference to the insulation needed.
