I already possess a level 8 degree, but I've been unlucky in that I've struggled to find work since graduating (2 years now and still applying).

I read that the BHEA is only allowed for those progressing (so you need to have a level 7 before applying for a level 8 course), but apparently exceptions are possible in the right circumstances.

I'd like to apply for a professional course in TCD - which costs around €7,000 per year in tuition and student contribution charges. I'm unable to afford this, but feel very passionately about completing the course and starting my career. Am I eligible to have these fees paid as well?

I'm also over the age of 24, as per the BTEA guidelines.

Given these circumstances, should I apply for BTEA - or can you think of an alternative way within the social welfare system.

    Thanks in advance.
