2 issues with ford cmax

    Picked up a 04 ford cmax 1.6 tdci about 2 weeks. Was all good when I got it.
    But 2 issues have cropped up.
    1. There seems to be no power when accellerating. I'll have my foot flat down on the accelerator and it would take ages to get above 2,000revs until the turbo kicks in.
    2. When I turn the steering wheel right ,it would make like a scrapping / grinding noises.
    Turning left is fine.
    Any ideas?
