Looking at buying one of these and would just like to here any reviews from users

I know they arent going to win any style awards but they do what they say on the tin and seem to be reliable with decent feedback from users online

Its actually for the aul one she needs something bit higher as the back is playing up and getting in and out of the car is a struggle

She was looking a Quashai but man the price of them are crazy! Even one a few years old they hold there price well, to well for a nissan lol

The fact you haven't had much feedback is great. Honestly, they're a good car and nobody has reason to complain

25000 km done, zero issues; grand little thing.

Great car, cheap as chips to run, low tax, peppy diesel engine...like it a lot!

To me the Sandero and Stepway look good, I like the simple interiors and would expect the cars to be reliable. If there are vibration and refinement issues as mentioned in one of those review videos that would annoy me though. However the main thing that would put me off the Sandero and other Dacia models is passive safety - the current models that have been crash tested (the Stepway hasn't but the Sandero has) by EuroNCAP have obvious deformation around the A pillar in the offset test like something you'd expect to see on a 10+ or 15+ year old design. The Logan MCV and Lodgy seem to be the worst offenders and have been marked down by EuroNCAP for structural instability. If you are ok with driving around in a car that will likely give poorer protection in a crash than many small secondhand cars costing 5k or less, then go for it.

Here is an example of a real life crash involving a new Stepway and a Mondeo which is considerably heavier but is a 16 year old design. IMO a new car (with a height advantage over the car it collided with) should perform better in terms of passenger compartment integrity than the Stepway seems to have performed in this instance.

Being doing plenty of reseach about them online and have to say the feedback on most part is very good

Going to take the mother into a dealer and get a good drive in one get the feel for it, ive notices plenty on the roads and they are not a bad looking car tbh few small mods and it would look the part and for the price compared to the quaisqi and them is mental

It will be doing plenty of driving as she has a 44 mile round trip commute each day 80% of that motorway driving

Which engine would be a good choice on the Sandero or Stepway? The 0.9 turbo or 1.5 diesel? The 1.2 petrol not the best, small turbos, hmm, I don't really know.

I had the Sandero Stepway 1.5 diesel on rental for a month. It drives well, but is very basic inside. Everything feels cheap and plastic, you can't adjust the seating height for example.

That said, if the price is right and it suits your needs - hard to fault it too much.

    Body-shops especially.

Those cars are eaten alive... My neighbour had a 141 Duster, after a year changed it for a much older RAV4. Despite not driving around an ocean, Dacia already showed signs of corrosion.

My Mum has a Sandero, I think it must be at least 5/6 years (she's in France). She loves it, never had any mechanical problem with it. She says it's not the nippiest car she's had, but it's well able for motorways in France (she's not a slow driver, my Mum), and has taken her all over the place there (plenty mileage). I think only problem she's had is a noise/vibrating thing with the air conditioning. I've no interest in a new car, but if I had the few bobs, I'd buy one in a heartbeat. It is tiny inside for passengers though.

Need to get in and get a test drive in one to get a feel for it

The high mpg it boasts are any of you owners getting anywhere close to it?

    I get 4.5l/100 on avg.

Never drove a stepway but do have a Dacia Logan MCV (wanted the extra boot space), finish inside may not be as "nice" as other cars that cost thousands more but have the car about 6 months now and pretty happy with it. For the price it was excellent value!

Suspension is abit bouncy but that can be fun at times :P and my only real annoyance is the boot doesn't have a catch to open it so you have to use the key every-time. Done about 15k km's with it so far.

I recently reset computer stats on mine but it was 4.7l/100 on avg before I reset I think,

A friend of mine got the Sandero Prime and is very happy with it so far, he has his about 9 months now I think,
