My car, a Ford Focus c-max 2006 has died. It cut out as I was reversing out of the driveway yesterday and when the roadside assistance guy came out he said the engine is siezed and its most likely the timing belt. The nct expired on it this month and my plan was to nct it and then trade it in for a new car. Don't really want to pay to have it fixed since I'm getting rid of it anyway, so what are my option? Will any garage take it as a trade in? Seems a shame to scrap it as the body is perfect and I just put one brand new alloy and tyre on it ( driven on twice) there is 245000km on the clock.

Shocks are also gone on it! Prob needs about €1000 work done to get it over the nct

It still has a value as a trade in or sold as damaged off done deal , worth up to a grand as is I'd guess.
