HKC panel sporadically unresponsive

I don't have the model number to hand but the last two mornings I've had difficulty unsetting the alarm, it's as if the panel isn't recognising one of the digits. It works on the second or third try.

It's a standard noughties system and the issue arises after partset A. I've had no problems setting it or returning from having been out with the alarm fully set. I'm nervous that the problem will get worse so I'm guessing I need an engineer? Or do I?

If it's a problem with the keypad you could change your code using digits not currently used.

Strange that its only after part set. Are you using a different keypad upstairs?

No, only one keypad. Will see what it's like tomorrow morning but two mornings in a row and two of us tried the code so it's weird.

When you press the buttons is the * displaying each time it's pressed?
