iPhone 6S Wifi - 5GHz 802.11ac

    I understand the 6S has 5GHz / 802.11ac capability.

My MBP and other high end devices get 250mb+ from my connection at home. This is over Wifi.

When the iPhone is connected to the 5GHz network, it gets a max of around 70-80mb.

    Any particular reason for this?

A family member with a Galaxy S5 gets around 200mb on a speed test.

    My wife's 6s seems to always connect at 500 - 600Mb/s on 802.11ac

I just did some tests, to see if what I had previously noticed was still true:

When idle, my 6plus (non-S) tends to connect on 802.11n at 80Mb/s, and gives 70-80Mb/s on the first speed test, but seems to switch over to 802.11ac at about 500-600Mb/s after the first speed test, and gives the next speed test at 122Mb/s (my broadband is 120Mb/s max).
A few minutes after the last test, it's switched back to 802.11n @ 70Mb/s.

Maybe certain software builds have different parameters for power-saving, etc?
