End terrace town house about 35yr old, council has fitted to my neighbours house 6 of these to the front north facing side and none on the back, south facing. My attic could do with more ventilation but I don't like the thought of six holes being cut in the felt, as surely this will only increase the 'potential' for leaks…

Attic floor is insulated, roof is not.

Would putting a vent in the gable wall not be a better option.
