Roof Vents

    End terrace town house about 35yr old, council has fitted to my neighbours house 6 of these to the front north facing side and none on the back, south facing.

    My attic could do with more ventilation but I don't like the thought of six holes being cut in the felt, as surely this will only increase the 'potential' for leaks in the future.

    Attic floor is insulated, roof is not.

    Would putting a vent in the gable wall not be a better option.
