Started on Friday night. Pretty decent and very watchable.
James Nesbitt stars as down on his luck cop DI Harry Clayton whose chance encounter with a mysterious woman and an ancient bracelet changes everything. Based on an original idea by Stan Lee.

I didn't think it would be much use but I decided to give it a luck anyway. Was pretty impressed with how good it was. I'll be watching this again on Friday.

Really? I must have been in a **** mood on Friday as I thought it was awful. Terrible stereotypical characters, awful dialogue (he and his partner are on a stakeout, and she, the stereotypical naive rookie, asks how do you know when someone is the right person), clichés left right and centre, and FFS they end with a cliff hangar which is immediately followed by a Next week montage.

Yes I didn't think too much of it. I was starting to wonder who this Stan Lee lad was I'd been hearing so much about him over Christmas.

Overall it was a bit nonsense really as TR says above but I'll probably give ep 2 another chance.

I did finish asking myself why he doesn't just go and do the Euromillions if he's that lucky.

Other than Dream Team many moons ago I'm struggling to think of a Sky series I did enjoy.
Mad Dogs- eh ok just, got a bit silly after series 1, I see there's a US one out now too, probably wont bother
Strike Back- probably the better of any I have seen though I never did finish them
    The Fire Brigade one- rubbish

Not as bad as 100 Code anyhow

Well Stan Lees Lucky Man to be precise, but I can't be bothered with that sort of narcissism so Lucky Man it is and, despite not expecting much, have to say I enjoyed it.

10 episodes on Sky 1, might still be on sky go
Barely a mention on here about it so may have passed many by.
And it's coming back for a second series.

Won't go in to the plot much other than to say the premise is James Nesbitt as a slightly renegade police detective starts out wearing a Chinese bracelet that endows with some tenuous control over his luck. Then lots of bad guys.
Plenty of cliches and a few plot holes that mostly filled in by the end, though I have yet to watch the last episode, but enough to say I do want him to survive.
And as he is back in series 2 I can watch that last episode knowing that something must come good. But maybe not everything. That's luck for him.

For a reasonable London police yarn with the slightest of superness, and James Nesbit delivering James Nesbitt, if that's your cup of cold tea, it didn't go too far wrong.

Really enjoyed the first series - Also watching Trapped murder investigation series based in Iceland atm. Very good and makes a change from endless US samey samey cop shows.

I don't think Season 1 was well received here, but for anyone who liked it (me included!) Season 2 starts on Friday.

I'm dreading the wife noticing this, because she enjoyed S1 a lot more than me. It could have been half the length as far as as i was concerned and some of the characterisation, especially the baddie, was cringe-inducing.

Finished season 2 over the weekend. Quite a bit better than season 1, although the final showdown left a lot to be desired - it showed no imagination.

Season 3 starts on Friday 20th July.
Some eps in HK/China as well, hopefully some background to the origin of the bracelets.

Decent start to season 3. Rupert Penry-Jones is a great bad guy.

I actually said "NO!" out loud at the end of Episode 6... wow.

    Loving this season.

Good ending to the season. A few little hooks for another - no sign of Season 4 confirmation yet, though. If it ends here, then so be it - it was solid enough as a series ending.
