    They are getting a bit of snow in the US at the Min, 30 inchs expected.

    I remember back after 9-11 I read something about a measureable drop in Temperatures due to all the planes been grounded for the days after the event.

    I looked for it awhile back but my google powers failed me, maybe it was bull...

    Anyway, thats alot of planes down.

    Strategically placed camera me thinks ;) I would love to be stuck in New York right now, with plenty for cash though.

    Me too. I'ld be all wrapped up and outside with my camera. Traffic is off the roads. I experienced something similar a few years back in the US. Was out walking at 0900 in -17. Wonderful experience.....took me a day to warm up again though.

    Aircraft now landing in JFK. Biggest issue apart from rwy clearance is the taxiways and snow banks beside. They have to top the snow banks which is mega work so "heavies" don't injest snow into a pod and that the snow banks are low enough so engine pod clearance is guaranteed. Glad I avoided the east coast this weekend. It's all very romantic and fun when the snow sets in but try walking New York streets in that crap and you'll change your mind :) . I can deal with wind , rain etc but snow really screws things up in the aviation game
