I had a cow that calved today that was first ai'd the 4th of may and repeated 3 weeks later and ai'd again then the 20th of august she came bulling again. I had another cow that aborted in Dec that held to the first service but also came bulling in August. I hope all the cows that repeated will be in the same boat.

    Were they scanned?

No, but I had a vasectomised bull with them until they came in and he had her well marked with the chin ball and spent the day after her in august.

I have a cow that bulled every 3 weeks right up to calving last year and now this year as well.

Is the calf alive and well? Scanning is important to show where you stand with breeding I think.

Perfect he was definitely gone full term. I had her out in the field as she was slow to get up in the cubicles she had no springing the last few days and I wasn't expecting her to calve until May.

Yes, scanning during breeding would have picked her out. Scanning will be on the cards for this year.

I think something up to 7% of cows can show signs of heat when in calf. Scanning is the best job alright. Had a cow here one year that was at it every 3 weeks like clockwork so we milked her on assuming not in calf. Got a surprise then out the field one morning. Similarly had a cow served not a peep out if her since that date even with bull and all and comes bulling a week after been dried off and not in calf.

She was dried off before Christmas. The thing is I only looked at her from the gate every morning as I never thought she'd calve this early.
