Shannon to Mallorca in Oct! Advise regarding flying times and Price

We are planning to visit Mallorca in October with our two year old. We havnt had a sun hol for three years so am only getting up to speed with prices over the last few days.

We are based in Dublin and have always booked flights for around €120 return from Dublin return with Aer Lingus but see prices have risen quite a bit and flight times ( from Dublin) don't suit travelling with a two year old( toddler is one very cranky baby).

We have been looking at flying from Shannon as we have family based near there and on the website flying times seem to be early flights at 10.50 a.m and early flights back which would be excellent for flying with a little one. Downside is prices are currently coming in roughly €180 return and that's a midweek flight in Oct.

I'm not a seasoned Ryanair customer ( flown only once with them) so am really looking for advise on:
    (1) Are flight times likely to change? We really would not chance an evening flight with toddler. We are pretty familiar with Mallorca so we know we wouldn't arrive at our accommodation until around 10.30... This would be hell!
    (2) Is there likely to be any sale price for an Oct flight in the coming weeks/ months or is the current price the best offer and should I just book it!
    (3) anybody flown from Shannon to Mallorca?

You can never be 100% certain but times unlikely to change, they have stayed the same the last few years

You will certainly find it easier from Shannon with a toddler as it's much quieter, for a 1050 flight you only need to be arriving at 0920 or so if checking in luggage.

With Ryanair the flight times are (almost) set in stone. October is quite a while away and prices may drop maybe €40 pp return if your lucky. They may increase, so if you want to be on the safe side just book. I have flown Shannon to Majorca several times. in October the airport will be quiet no matter what time you fly, security should be 5mins or less.

Majorca is a far busier airport, but in October will be well off the peak season so shouldn't be much of a hassle.

As regarding price what you should do is look for the cheapest flights out, cheapest flight back between now and June, then also for September and October, this will give you the cheapest off peak price for the route. Then when you have that cheapest price you then try to get as close to this in October and that should be best price, now there are 10/20% off sales the odd time but no way to predict when or if these will come prior to you booking.

Thanks all for the replies! Couldn't reply yesterday due to log in issues.

Carnacalla: are flight times usually that early for that particular route with Ryanair? We have been in Mallorca a few times but always get in quite late so just didn't fancy that late arrival with a little one.

We might give it until Feb to book and see what the story is then, as May fares have been discounted over the last few days but to be honest it's the flying times that are the main incentive to fly from Shannon! :-)

For the last 2 years, the 2 weekly flight times have been the 10:50 time. The extra weekly flight in June, July and August varies. Once they are out they very rarely change.

    Enjoy your Holiday!
