Raisin are a marketplace for savings accounts from multiple European banks. They're launching in Ireland in the next few weeks. This will open us up to a much wider range of options for savings accounts and should hopefully bring a bit more competition to the market like Number 26 and Revolut are. They are offering a €25 sign up bonus for people who sign up early and that bonus can be increased up to €500 for referring people. It looks pretty difficult to hit that €500 or anywhere near it mind but you might be able to add a few quid to your bonus. Bonus gets paid out 3 months after they launch. They have a German version that is already up and running so you can take a look at how it works.

Can you not just use your Facebook and fill the 170 referrals from your friends and reach the 500 mark,that would be great.or am I wrong

I only had a quick read but from what I gather nobody here is getting anything unless they actually sign up and use this service. You have to start a savings account, the minimum is 1 year I believe, and make the first payment.

A term deposit account is a savings account that is for a specific period of time usually a year or more. So, you'd have to open a savings account to get it. Hopefully, there is an account with a low minimum amount so we can thrown a few quid into it and get our bonus out without having to tie up a lot of money. It's possible you could even withdraw the money before the term is up and just forgo interest on it. We'll have to wait and see when they launch.

Unfortunately not. If you go to your referral page it'll give more information on how referral bonus works. When I first wrote the post I thought each point was worth a euro, so to get €500 you need 500 points. You actually only need 200 points so it's not as bad as I originally though but still not very easy.

You can only get 20 points from referrals. After 20 they don't count any more regardless of how many people use your referral link. You get extra bonus points if the people you refer sign up to an account with raisin (that's limited to 50 points) and more points if they open a savings account.
