Organising online photo collection

    Have a load of scanned images of old photos on Google/Picasaweb. I'm very green when it comes to photography and was wondering what is the best way to organise them all please? I'm leaning towards organising them in folders for each person. Just wondering if this a good idea before I go messing about for an hour or two!!?!?

    A folder for each person works if there is only one person in each picture but what if there is more than one person, which folder does it go into then. Personally I sort by date / event and tag images with names to make them searchable but I have no idea if that is possible with Google / Picasa

    Frustratingly PicasaWeb used to allow tagging but it just doesn't work anymore. I type in the name and hit ENTER but it doesn't save.
