    So erm that opening segment.

How does Chris Jericho have power to book matches and act as referee?

The blatant advertisment match for the new season of total divas made me turn of raw before the first hour even. A new personal record

Jesus, I dont think Roman Reigns can overcome those odds of coming in first to the Royal Rumble to defend his title.

No way can he overcome those odds. no f**king way

First segment was painful. Total Divas shilling was terrible, as always. Tumbler bit probably would have been funnier if I didn't remember that time Brock drew a "random" name out of a tumbler to give them a title shot, and every ball had (iirc) Scotty 2 Hotty's name on it. So far nothing is selling me on the Rumble.

Waste of a segment,it was obvious who was going in at number 1,he'll most likely overcome those odds by sleeping for 40 minutes in the corner comes this Sunday.

    Becky's promo was great.

I just can't take Jericho seriously these days with the outfits he wears. Ridiculous scarves, this week a jacket without a shirt etc., I mean the guy dresses goofier than The Miz.

I realise in the early 2000s he wore wacky outfits but he had a more serious demeanour back then, and with the facial hair he usually had he looked more imposing. These days I just can't find him remotely tough and that's not good on a show which is supposed to be presenting physical, aggressive bouts.

I don't think the audience is in to him too much either from the sounds of things.

It's been an awful Raw tonight in what is the go home show to the RR.

To me, putting him in at number one just guarantees he's not going to win. As you say there, he hasn't the cardio to win convincingly and they surely know that, but they might think putting him in at number one will protect him by giving him another record (longest time in the ring)

    At last.

Reigns spears Lesnar and the crowd boo. So over.

Easily one of the worst Raws I've ever seen, and that's really saying something.

Lesnar Vs Strowman would be an awesome match if it ever happened

I enjoyed the ending. Building up Brock and Lesnar only for the factions to get the better of them. Also, beats the usual when everyone piles in the ring and beats the crap out of each other. That's so messy

Didn't see that ending to Raw coming,it's just a pity, the Wyatts at the RR will still be made to look like jobbers.

I think the Wyatts are so damaged that any interactions with Lesnar in the future will just fall flat. Nobody cares about the Wyatts, damaged and irrelevant.

Would be fun to see Lesnar hit him with 20+ suplexes.

    Enjoyed the start.

The end was good as it wasn't expected and what Wyatts should be.

Middle with Becky dropping quotes on Ric was fantastic.

Rest was skippable. But who cares, we got Becky running her mouth directed at Ric Flair.

Hes a worse verison of his 2007 return. Same material, worse dress sense

Becky was the highlight of raw, she really nailed her promo

The rest just made me think hopefully when the rumble is done and the road to wrestlemania storylines kick in Raw will be better

I love that little leg drop Becky does off the ropes!

Titus, R-Truth, Mark Henry and Neville backstage segment was quite similar to this one a few years ago:

At least Vince is good for a laugh every week or so. Struggling to open those balls....:o
Can't say anything about the show nobody else hasn't. I didn't even realise that the Rumble was on Sunday until they said it. Good opportunity for Owens & Ambrose to impress as all the other names & the WWE title are in the Rumble basket

Lots of people on the Internet I seen seem to think he's dressing like that because he's going some kind of mid life crisis discounting the fact he's always dressed terrible

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

I hope he's able to deliver something decent in the ring on Sunday at least. It's unusual to me that he hasn't been in a tag team match or anything on a Raw since he came back on air.

They were on about him on Review a Wai saying maybe he is using stale catchphrases & dressing like that to draw boos. Clever as it went completely over my head but the Jeritroll gimmick sucked when he tried that & some people thought it was good at the time then.....

The lads on the LAW are always very defensive on Jericho's behalf. He listens to the show and has been a guest numerous times so I think it makes them a bit biased when it comes to evaluating him.
