Most are just direct replacement and cables will connect, some though will require a new wiring harness to connect the old radio input cables to the new stereo.

Sometimes you will need removal tools to take the old one out, you can get these in the likes of Halfords, they look something like this...

Is this a yaris? If it is and it's got it's original radio installed then you'll need an iso adapter.

Also if you're paying anything for the CD player make sure it's a modernish unit. No point paying €20-30 for an old out dated unit when a brand new one with a one year warranty can be had for 60-70 euro

    Ah cool

Ya, well it was in a skip I got it from a friend. He got a fancy one with the big screen and mobile connection and all that stuff. So got the cd player for literally a song and a dance. (Ya, he made me preform Oliver's "consider yourself")

Take out the old radio first and see what connections you need. I'm pretty sure you'll need an iso adapter and maybe an Aerial adapter.

Well, on the back of the Sony, there is a connection for the iso and then a red and white connection that I imagine that is for a sub maybe?

Do you have an aftermarket normal sized radio in there now? Or are you using the built-in Toyota unit?
If aftermarket, what make is it?
