    He folks.

Just wondering, is it possible to request the DT for a Saturday?

Reason being is I drive my wife's car and if the test on a weekday she will have to take time off work as she needs the car to commute.

    Thanks.

I don't believe so, no. Like many similar outfits they just don't operate on Saturdays. Is it yourself that's doing the test, in the missus' car? Good luck with it.

You're welcome. A youngfella like you, passing the test should cheapen your insurance a bit! :D

Although Saturday opening is not part of the rsa normal opening hours some test centres conduct Saturday tests from time to time, usually if there is a backlog to be cleared. You could try ringing the rsa and ask if there are any Saturday tests coming up in your chosen centre. Also when the longer days arrive there usually are tests carried out until around 6.30pm which might suit you. Again check with rsa and good luck with the test.

I done my test on a Saturday morning in Finglas so it is possible. Ridulously easy as the roads were empty.

Passed my test on a Saturday approx 5pm in Tallaght last October, day was randomly assigned not requested, I know Rathgar did Saturday tests too, as above ring and explain situation, RSA staff are generally very helpful from what I've experienced.

I did my EC test back in the 90s on a Saturday morning/early afternoon this was before the RSA even came in to being,At the time I don't think there was a backlog in tests so I have always assumed Saturday tests was the norm.
