Hi, I bought a car back in June on finance it was a 2008 Suzuki Vitara. The car has had nothing but problems since I bought it, problems with ECU, DPF, I have a feeling the EGR valve us about to die, rattling from front brakes which was fixed, anyway I guess it's been back to the main dealer on 10 separate occasions.

I have completely lost faith in the car, I 'm afraid it's going to break down some day and leave me and my family stranded somewhere or worse. Last night I was at a function and my wife was driving home and sure as eggs are eggs the f'in thing wouldn't start. It's turning but not firing anyway I 'm not interested in what's wrong with it at the moment, I just want rid of it.

How do I stand on throwing the keys back at the main dealer and saying I want my money back. It's been nothing but trouble since I got it and I don't need the hassle and uncertainty of driving it.

    What warranty did they give?

zero chance of getting money back. They will fix the problems until warranty runs out. 8 year old cars will give problems.

Fix it up, under warranty as possible, and then sell it if you can. Use the cash to close out the finance. Check that the finance can be paid off earlier or if you can sell the car at all. That's by far the fastest way to get rid of. Alternatively, you may be able to trade in and refinance.

Check with lender but I don't think you can sell with finance owning. Cars is technically belong to finance company

This. Fix it this time and get rid of it as soon as possible. Cut your losses and run

i'd ask the dealer if he would swap it for another car.

Im amazed you got finance on an 8 year old car.

Do you pay the dealer or a financial company with the monthly repayment?

Cut and run, I think, by whatever means possible. Even if the thing never gave another ounce of trouble, you'll never have faith in it again. If the warranty has expired, you could well end up out of pocket a bit, I'm afraid.
