    Hello everyone,
My fiesta failed the nct this morning on CO at high idle, the reading was 0.72% failure is anything above 0.30,

The rest of the reading were all good.

    Low idle. CO. 0.61 vol%
    HC. 93 pm

    High idle. CO. 0.72 vol%
    HC. 68 pm

Oil temperature was at 86 C

Anyone any ideas on how to get it down,
It got a full service yesterday New oil, plugs, fuel treatment.

    Thanks for any help

Looks like a catalytic converter issue.

    What was the lambda figure?

    What year is the car?

    Thanks for the reply

The Lambda reading was 0.98 and has to be between 0.97 and 1.03.

The car is a fiesta its 1998 just a run around does less then 4000 miles a year,

I put a new lambda in it about two and a half years ago,

It's running very well except this emissions problem and high idle

Hi ntgar, I'm Sorry do you mean 2 seperate issues, a high idle and emissions - or you just mean the high idle emmissions fail?
