Hi folks any advice or thoughts welcomed on this . .
My wife is currently test driving a new Hyundai Tuscon this weekend , we took it out last night and I hopped in for a spin all good and suitably impressed except for a very irritating buzz or vibration coming off the clutch when either my foot was resting on it or as I start to apply pressure to change gear . . Just wondering if there could be a problem with this particular vehicle or whether this would be typical of or the same on all Tuscon models . .
Appreciate any feedback as I don't want the missus to be fobbed off with the "ah don't worry about that it will be ok " line.
    Thanks in advance

With a 5 warranty I wouldn't be worrying too much. Just mention it to them see what they say.

Of course it's just that I have never experienced it in any car before and it's fairly intense to the point you have to take foot off clutch resting it on pedal is just not an option.

    Thanks for your response

Test drive another one for comparison.

We ordered one for my wife last week. Didn't notice any vibration or anything like that. Maybe test drive another one. Best of luck

When your foot is "resting"on the clutch pedal, how much pressure is being applied - intentional or otherwise?

It's the pedal letting you know you shouldn't rest your foot on it.

It's all down to personal taste IMO.

I would take the Tucson any day of the week over the Kadjar personally ;)

Will the 5 year warranty cover a clutch which is classed as a consumable?

OP if I am reading right your wife will buy that particular car? If so as another poster has recommended testdrive another example/get someone independent but qualified to check it out.

Had a test drive in the new Tuscon too and didn't notice any vibration, lovely car to drive, and lots of them about already, so a lot of people seem to think the same.

Oh couldn't agree more. Taste is subjective. Personally I find the Tucson very predictable but then again just about all those SUVs are. Its a safety first (from a design perspective) segment. At least the Kadjar has the good grace to attempt to look attractive rather than artificially imposing which is the unusual fodder in this ridiculous segment.

Does the 5 year warranty cover the clutch ? + Whats the story with ordering a car then rejecting it on delivery because of a glitch real or imaginary ?
Also wondering why you rest your foot on the clutch pedal..

Each to their own but I don't think the kajar is all that great looking. I seen a Black Tucson yesterday and thought it looked fantastic. :)
