Slat cleaning options

What are the different low labour options for cleaning slats?
    - automatic scrapers
    - robotic scrapers - any idea of how much one is?
    - ride on mower type cleaner - some people use an old mower and modify it.

    - tractor - labour intensive
    - hand scraper - labour intensive

With regard to robotic scrapers. Any idea of brands and cost? Has anyone seen these in operation?

My thinkin on this is it would best be something automatic or your just adding to your list of chores.

    Know nothing about robotic scrapers.

Auto scrapers are tried and long tested pieces of kit. Quality stuff well maintained last decades.
Just before Christmas I was in a shed that I installed 4 scrapers in 20 years ago, two hoses needed replacing in that time and the unit needed servicing. But other than that they looked like no wear at all and if servicing is continued another 20 would see them still in use.

They have stood the 20 years better than me :(

Spent twelve weeks on a farm with a lely robot scraper, great bit of kit. What size shed is it? All gang slats I presume? Think cost is around 10k plus vat, they were doing interest free finance over three years and it was no cheaper to buy outright.

Don't have a slatted house and wondering why is there need to clean slats? Taught the idea of slats was exactly this reason of not needing to clean slurry?

+1, why bother cleaning them OP?

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

I just think why go to the extra expense of slatted units if having to clean every day anyway?
I looked at putting in slats here but just don't like the idea of drafts coming up under them and not thriving ! A patch of land and out winter them in a wood now past few years and they are way healthier and thrive better I find
