Wouldn't it make more sense to lie that you're older than you are?

Wouldn't it make a lot more sense to be like: "I'm 40", when you looked only 32, rather than saying "I'm only 32" when you look 40?

I mean, if you're 32 and you look/act like that jesus there's something wrong.

I never understood the mentality of lying to people in the first place anyway over something like this. If you have to manipulate people to get your way, then surely everything you get from that is invalid and a fraud in the first place.

Doesn't matter how long I wait to respond. It still doesn't make much sense. Was I meant to wait to see if someone else understood it first?

I never lie about my age, but a moderately famous actress from my hometown has her wiki and imbd profile age down as five years younger than me, when in fact she is three years older. I reckon she just went with it rather than instigated it.

I can understand someone shaving a couple of years off their age but I can't fathom why a person makes them selves a decade younger in their dating profile when it's pretty apparent that they're not really the age they claim to be.

No-one lies that they're older unless they're under 18/21 and it's to get into a bar/club.

I guess if someone was going to lie, then you are right op, it makes more sense to claim that they are older because people will think they look good for their fake older age rather than lie and say that they are younger and look old for the fake younger age.

I don't think that many people lie about their age though. I don't know maybe it was more of a thing done years ago?

I'm 41 in earth years. But myself and a lady of my acquaintance are counting backwards and currently in our mid thirties. We're looking forward to turning 30, the roaring 20s and getting buspasses as we re-enter puberty.
I know the idea is (c) Bette Davis but it works and I'm happy.

Donegal years are different to our Earth years, are they? :pac:

I'm almost 34 and have a few issues around that I must admit. I can't explain it but it's like who I am and my age just don't match up. Maybe it's because I'm not where I thought I would be.
