1.8TDCI engine question...

    Does the 1.8TDCI have the same block and crankcase across all models?
    I need to replace an engine in a 08 Mondeo and wondering if i get a low mileage from an older car with timing chain will it fit?
    The one im considering getting is from a 05 1.8 focus.
    I can swap over pump/injectors from existing engine.

    Found out Mk 2 focus engine, and the connect engine from 2006 are the same bare engines as whats in the mondeo Mk 4 (1.8tdci)
    These are all


    Engine codes are
    QYBA Mondeo
    KHBA Mondeo
    KKDA Focus Mk 2
    RWPA Connect from 06 -13 I believe


    There may be others...these are all "euro 4" engines...I assume this is a emissions category.
    Might be of use to someone down the road....

    The head is different on the tddi anyway the injector holes are smaller but as far as i know the block is the same.
