    Hi dohouch,

    Thanks for contacting us.

    It can take 6-8 weeks from the end of the billing quarter for customers to receive their bills for that period of time.

    We can provide you with a more specific date as to when you will receive your next bill, if you wish? To do this, we would ask that you send the following details via PM:

    Your name;
    Address;
    Contact number;
    Account number and;
    Confirmation that you are the account holder.

    Kind regards,
    Amy

    Would the upcoming election have anything to do with the delay?

    This quarter only started 10 working days ago, I'd be surprised if I got any bill that soon after the billing period.

    Actually the meter reading van passed through today.  :rolleyes:

    Driver said I my next bill might be based on the reading from previous meter reading van pass.

    Once more , but my memory may be faulty,  I think my previous 3 bills arrived a few days after the end of the previous billing quarter. Not so sure anymore:confused:

    Reading (AMR) technology where a transmitter periodically sends your meter reading to a receiver unit in one of our branded, meter reading vehicles. We will then collect these month end records each time a scheduled drive-by reading is carried out, usually every three months. The meter reading will be provided to you as part of your bill.

    You can find more information about meter readings here.

    Further to this, a member of our team has responded to your query by PM.

    Kind regards,
    Mairead

    No sign of the January water bill yet.  Will we have to wait until after the election?

    No thank you.  I am not really interested in sending personal information to Irish  Water considering the breach of their supposed secure data base which we all remember being hacked.  Is this hacking the rteason that the bills are not being issued or is it because of the general election.  A viable reason would end all this surmiseing.

    We are aware that a fraudulent email has been sent, but we are confident that our database has not been breached and this is completely external to Irish Water data.

    It can take six to eight weeks for a bill to arrive after the start of each billing cycle. If you provide us with the previously requested information, we will be more than happy to advise you of when your bill will arrive.

    Kind regards,
    Mairead

    Regardless of your assurances, I am not prepared to divulge my personal details.  I will await my bill with baited breath and then safely recycle it with the others. If you can supply us with the previously requested legitimate reason and not some PR spiel, it would be appreciated
