Texans are going to be a tough match up with our WR issues. I hope that Dorsett and Patterson can translate their camp performances onto the field. Really hoping Sony sees some gametime too.
I'm not expecting it to be pretty. Without Edelman, we may need to feed it to Gronk. If we can run the ball, I'd be hopeful, but the first 4 games could be dog ugly.

Week 2 at Jacksonville should be worse again! Plenty of dump offs to Sweet Feet :pac:

I've picked up White in all 3 of my fantasy leagues I'm in. I'll be open to trade offers then before week 5 when Edelman is back, White will have done the business to get a top end trade. :pac:

Brady will make Patterson look like Randy Moss in the first game ;)

I liked Chad Hansen coming out of college. He had a fantastic last season at Cal. I felt he got drafted by the wrong team last year but I still thought he would make an impact but he got very little playing time. He has great pair of hands and he is pretty fast too once he gets into full stride.

I'd be hopeful he can make an impact with us.

Both have potential but neither will make an impact right away I can't imagine. We really need a Veteran at this point but it looks like we are going to roll as is.

Jaguars think sticking a cornerback to Gronk like glue is the ticket to diminishing him as a threat.  Hope it works.

You can ignorantly accuse me of "whataboutism," but what it really is involves identifying similar scenarios in order to see if it holds up when the shoe is on the other foot!

Yeah, just be sure to keep switching RB's every month :pac:

Probably should have done it a while back, cause there's never anything resembling a worthwhile debate/discussion with a certain poster, so my Ignore List gets a welcome addition. I'd recommend it to others. It's not worth the engagement.

On the topic of RBs, I picked up Sony Michel in a draft I did earlier in the week and it would be good to hear if you lads had any thoughts on him thus far. I know he has been injured but has there been anything coming out of camp? I normally avoid Patriots RBs but fell to the point where he was a late round flier and I liked what I saw of him in college. Any chance of him carving out a decent role or will it be the usual RB lottery?

All depends on the injury. All the reports were very positive, and with the WR issues, we may have ran the ball a bit more. But right now, no idea if he plays the first game.

We haven't a clue who is no.1 RB is, if there is a no.1, and if there is a no.1 if he will actually be even active on gameday. Bill doesn't do clues.

I'd say Michel will be introduced slowly, so you'll probably need to hang onto him until late October, November before he starts producing. Once FF guy reckons he could be this years Alvin Kamara......

Only thing that's bugging me is three night games in four weeks. Gonna take a lot of arranging to get to see all three of them.

How about that pass rush! We actually have one!

If they all stay healthy we have a Championship calibre defense.

That game shouldn't have been close. 3 TOs and 2 inside our red zone is why it was close.

All in all, considering how we've started previous seasons i'll take it. We've showed we've got the talent and there is room for improvement. No doubt BB will be livid with the performance.

You could visibly see how big a loss Julian is to the offense. If we can get through to week 5 in good shape then things will improve massively.

Delighted with how Dorsett has improved with a year in the system.

Defense had a good night. Defending the run wasn’t great, apart from that the D would have limited the damage to ~13pts but for the late fumble.
Offense was good and bad. 2nd half was a struggle, just the 2 FGs. But 27pts was good enough, and may have iced the game earlier but for the fumbles.

    Any word on Hill's injury?

Hill apparently walked out of the blue tent under his own power which is encouraging but i don't think we are anywhere near out of the woods tho.

I know RB is probably our most stacked position but i don't want to lose Hill. I think we could be a major contributor this season, he played lights out in the preseason and made some great plays yesterday...so fingers crossed.

Jeremy Hill has a torn ACL, done for the season...damn

Pats sign Corey Coleman on a 1yr contract. Low risk, high reward but as we've seen with Dorsett and other WRs it will probably take him a year to get upto speed so unless something miraculous happens i'm not expecting much.

Side note, the Bills are still paying him $3.5m of dead cap money so that's nice.

Side note x2, Pats will sign anybody but Dez, he's not worth the headache.

Side note x3, Pats have also signed WR Bennie Fowler...so definitely anybody but Dez

I've always felt that Coleman has what it takes to be great in the NFL.
When you think about where he has been, Cleveland and Buffalo, he hasn't really had much of a chance to show what he can do.
I'm really excited by this signing.

I've a strong feeling that we will bring Jordan Matthews back when he's fit. Losing Mitchell was such a huge blow this year, damn shame

Tough assignment this week. Up against a serious defense. Needed a big 4th quarter comeback in the AFC Championship game in Foxboro last time. Seen a number of predictions going for the Jags.

Aside from a win, I want nothing more than to see Gronkowski have a big game against Ramsey and shut that annoying tool up once and for all.

I would say Gronk will jabber even more should he get the better of Ramsey.
