People were still holding out in the hope that another title fight might be added, hence why confirming it as co main is relevant.

Ngannou the modern day Plato in that first embedded. What a legend.

Yes...but my post clearly said "announced as co-main" my point was its co-main as in there is no second title fight.

****ing hell this place is hard work at times.
I did say "the match up" to be fair.
I don't think Khabib v Tony was ever serious.

It's what everyone wants and really makes sense for him to take it Don't be scared DJ.

Since we probably won't be seeing Conor Fight Tony irl anytime soon, here's one way it could play out..

As far as I'm concerned with DJ, it would actually be more fair if he stepped up and challenged for the BW title. He has cleaned out Fly already. TJ is just a freshly crowned champ, why should he got an immediate shot, when he hasn't ever made weight in that division in the UFC?

Exactly. He should be pushing this way. Much lower risk for him and a lot more reward.

He's been trying to get a comeback fight. But not having any luck, so called it a day.

The UFC were offering less than he was getting before. Belator wanted him but not forbthe HW tourney.

Glad he's retired. His begging for a fight in Bellator via social media has been getting a bit cringy and desperate.

That said I have no clue why they didn't sign him up. He's a good guy, makes for some savage KOs and he's got the name recognition of being a former UFC champ who almost beat Lesnar.

Jeremy Stephens vs. Doo Ho Choi fighting on the January 14th card. Should be a good fight though I hope Choi has worked on his striking defence during his long absence

Cerrone is moving back to lightweight. He says he's going to fight less per year and has 5 years of fighting left. I hope it works out for him, at least he won't be fighting Darren "light heavyweight" Till again.

Does the word epic still have the same meaning?

How in jaysis’ name is that ‘epic’

Some fights look good but come on

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,394 ✭✭✭Beersmith

This is the Conor era where the rankings made by hand picked journalists at the behest of the UFC matter but are secondary to "what sells" in the mind of lots of fans. It's sad to see.
