Widgets for Spotify

I have a Samsung Galaxy A5 and use Spotify premium. I mostly use it to listen to music in my car over bluetooth on my commute

I'm trying to find widget that I can link Albums, artists or stations to, so I can have a screen full of my favourite items that I can load up with one touch when in the car. At the moment I have to navigate through the spotify screens to change from one album to another or switch to a station etc, and obviously that is not advisable when driving.

I had hoped that the built in widgets with Spotify woudl include this (it seems natural to me) but no joy.

    Any ideas?

Why not throw a playlist together and add songs or remove them from time to time when not driving, just hit shuffle and away you go

Yep that's what I do. 230 songs and growing. With Spotify Premium, you can download them too and play them offline (no hit on data).

Certainly a potential workaround, but there are times when I like the semi random nature of "style of" stations, other times I want to listen to an album from start to finish and yet other times would like to listen to a shuffled list of songs for a particular artist. I am looking for a one touch option to switch between those.

On a 30 minute commute I guess I can decide which before I start driving, and thats fine - thoguh there are times when an album I started on the way in, finishes 20 minutes into the journey home & I want to start something else. And for longer journeys I want to avoid having to stop the car every time I fancy a change.

I have widgets for my contacts that allow me to one touch call home, text my son, etc and woudl love something similar for my music.

maybe I live in a land with clouds & cuckoos.

you're dreaming of a land where Spotify's developers implement new features and fix bugs in a timely fashion. I love Spotify, but their software development leaves a lot to be desired.

"Driving Mode" and voice control are 2 features that have been suggested many many times on their forums.
