I'm thinking about switching my broadband from Éir to Vod and just wondering if there will be an interruption in service or is it seamless like switching electricity suppliers. If there is normally an interruption, are we talking minutes, hours or days?

It should be a matter of minutes. If Vodafone send their modem in advance then when you get a red light you just swap the modem.

    That assumes nobody mucks up.

Thanks Ed. I read a comment around this some time ago. The writer said she had to wait nine days without any broadband before the Vod service became active. I can only assume that was a case that was mucked up.
