So at the moment I'm torn, I'm currently working in insurance, ****ty sales job with lashings of overtime and commission being continually slashed month on month, but it could be the beginnings of a career that could get away from sales. For the last two years I've worked door to door for a year and I also worked in Sky with retentions for 6 months and I'm in my current job for the last 7 months and before that I worked odd jobs in pubs and tour guiding.

I'm seriously considering going back to education ,I dropped out two years into a history degree in Trinity, and I've been volunteering with the Samaritans, and I got 540 in the leaving. I've looked into becoming an accountant, but would I need to be a post grad to get in? Or could I get a decent job without it? I'm seriously getting annoyed with sales.

How old are you? do you have many ties? ie wife kids etc? If not figure out what you're interested in and go back and study it full time. You could probably do sales part time. 540 points in the leaving is a lot to be wasting in a call centre

Hey, I'm 25 at the moment and I don't have any dependants, other than a partner that's working on a masters. But I'm not in a hurry to jump back into education headfirst until September next, when I can be partially carried!

The reason I was attracted to accountancy is I was always pretty good with numbers and I'm a bit of a savant with computers!

So would that be a realistic avenue to go down? Or should I think about doing something else full time?
