Claiming GP Expenses from Aviva

I'm about to put in a claim to Aviva for GP visits but am missing some receipts.

The doctors said they can print off a statement for me but Aviva say they'll only accept original receipts. Does anyone know how rigid they are about this? I would have thought that once it comes from the doctors on the correct headed paper etc it should be acceptable

I'd have assumed that they'd accept a statement from the doc, but I suppose it's up to Aviva what they choose to accept.
