Downloaded to Size my Bike app to check my bike measurements and got this

    13d27d0.png

Most of the measurements are ok.

    C is a bit random.

So is the crank length. Seems very small.

Any one use Size my Bike and get results like this? Any other good apps to sanity check these results.

PS I know I can get a proper bike fit but havent had a chance to get one since the initial fitting for the bike.

I'd delete that app it appears to be complete sh*te.

The saddle height and top tube length are completely nonsense.

    What height are you?

    The details are as follows

    Height 183cm
    Inseam 88cm
    Torso 72cm
    Shoulder 50cm
    Arm 57cm

Not sure where I got the app but I think it was recommended by DC rainmaker

77cm for saddle height would seem reasonable enough (I know it says units are mm but that couldn't possibly be right for measurement A.)

I'd have expected that distance to be closer to 80cm though for Godtabh, given his own measurements.
That's based purely on my own sizing though and I'm no bid fitter.

    Tried another website got this

    Top Tube Length 62.8 - 63.2 Cm
Seat Tube Range CC 58.2 - 58.7 Cm
Seat Tube Range CT 60 - 60.5 Cm
    Stem Length 10.5 - 11.1 Cm
    BB Saddle Position 104.3 - 106.3 Cm
    Saddle Handlebar 56 - 56.6 Cm
    Saddle Setback 1 - 1.4 Cm
    Seatpost Type Setback

    From http://www.competitivecyclist.com/

The BB to saddle position seems large?

That'd make more sense again if it was mm.
I think! saddle to BB is 10cm

These apps / sites are mixing up cm and mm for some measurements

Confusing the hell out of me!

That would put my measurement at around 77cm

    Your saddle height is it?
77 just seems on the low side to me.
I'd be 182cm tall with about an 86cm inseam and my saddle height as measured in the OP is 79.5cm
I was fitted by Padraig Marrey in Ballinrobe and a year later James O'Donnell in Galway (he had a look at bike setup after setting cleats for me).
James said everything looked bang on and changed nothing that Padraig had set on the bike.
I know everyone is different and there is more to it than just height and inseam but I'd just think that 77cm is very low.
What's that measurement on your bike(s) at the moment?

I'd have to double check but when adjust this evening it was less than 75cm. I should just bit the bullet and get a bike fit

Ya!! Sounds like the best thing to do. I definitely wouldn't be using those apps / site calculators anyway. They might give a rough idea but no more than that. There are variables that they can't account for.

I am 183cm and my saddle height is 74cm. I have the legs of an ewok and the torso of a shaved Wookiee.

Can only imagine what your face looks like!

Will look to get a bike fit later on in the month. Have a new bike that needs to be set up so might as well get it done when it is ready

just had a quick look at it and the first thing that stands out to me is B saddle set back seems wrong . it measures centre of SEAT PIN behind bottom bracket the saddle could be cm's back or forward on the rail and this measurement would not change and this would effect your knee in relation to the pedal . there is also no indication of measurement from tip of saddle too centre of bars which after saddle position is in my opinion second most important measurement on a bike

    as c-j-c say's dump it . load of ****e
