    Hi all,

I am 27 year old male weighing 62kg, height is 183cm. I am hoping to gain some lean size.

My diet is a bit messy at the moment and would like to change to a more high protein diet. Can anyone recommend me a starting point?

Would it be worth visiting a dietitian/nutritionist or is the vast amount of this info readily available online?

    Best,

    And the training/exercise you do.

Breakfast: Porridge and 2 tsp of flaxseed made with milk/walk
Lunch: 2 slices of Turkey or larger tin of Tuna or 2 Egg sandwich/salad
    Snack: Apple and Banana
Dinner: Piece of meat or 2 chicken fillet or piece of fish with rice and a lot of veg
Before bed: 200-250 grams of natural yogurt

My sugar levels seem to go crazy during the night after the yogurt. It's the Fage yogurt so the sugar content isn't that high yet I seem to be starving after it!

What makes you say your sugar levels go crazy?

    The hunger after the yoghurt?

If what you've posted is all you eat, your hunger is because you're not eating enough in the day.

If you want to add size, you'll need to add calories.

I seem to be craving more and more food straight after the yogurt. I wouldn't be massively hungry prior to having it in the first place!

Yes, what I posted is what I am having in the day.

Any suggestions on what to add?

Hi, I go the gym 6/7 days a week a do 7/8km on the cross trainer followed by a upper/lower body split followed by some core. The workout takes 1hr 30mins.

I also walk to and from work, which is only 20mins away from my home.

You could try adding some nuts to the yogurt.

Have you worked out the calories you need? and how many you're eating?

You are borderline medically underweight. I would drop it to 4 days a week with more of an emphasis on weights than cardio. You need to eat a hell of a lot more food generally, not just protein. Like, double your lunch. Cook everything in butter. Handfuls of nuts for snacks.
