It appears my HG 658c supports six connections but only one is used:confused:
Can someone tell me why this is or where the other five might be used?

These are the connection profiles for the various WAN options on the device (xDSL, Ethernet, USB)

    ATM is for ADSL
    PTM is for VDSL
ETH is for the Ethernet WAN port (for FTTH in future perhaps)
USB is for a mobile dongle on the USB port

Amongst these then are variations of each as you can see 2 seperate PTM and 2 seperate ETH profiles. We're assuming these will be used if Vodafone rollout IPTV and VoIP in the future (their last update added 2 new profiles which hint at this). With IPTV, 2 profiles or sessions could be active at one time as they might be doing different levels of QoS on each profile

Its six configs, the router is capable of using 3x simultaneously, one FTTH/ETH, one ADSL/VDSL and one Mobile.

The IPTV profiles are used to enable the multicast stream when they start deploying TV as above.
