Just wondering what type of extras should a car dealership throw in if buying a new car

A lot less this time of year I'd imagine, than say in a few months when it's quieter on the new car sales front. Car manufacturers themselves are offering nice sweeteners like servicing packages, free equipment upgrades, etc at the moment to increase sales so best you may hope for is a set of car mats, tank of fuel, branded merchandise probably.

If there is a long lead time on the model you're buying, expect nothing beyond vague promises of superior customer care if anything goes wrong.

Mats if you're lucky, and maybe enough petrol to get you to a filling station.
