any know a rough idea for 4 of these fitted, balanced and aligned,

also anyone know of a place west Dublin that does them?

after 3 hours reviewing, I;ve decided to give them a whirl if i can get them.

ive used the same depot for 10 yrs, been with bridgestone, then firestone, and last time i was told these are great for the price, bridgestone and firestone are 150/160. i said ok, what are they, Federal,

after reading this evening, they are a economy tyre, .. . I paid 125 a piece fitted. think i was done. anyway.

I need 4 on the mondeo now. so looking to see what's best choice.

ill pay 120 a tyre fitted, but don't want to be fleeced

i usually pay €40 extra for alignment.

    thanks,

I've bought those tyres from Dave McCann in the past, he will come to you as well. Excellent guy.

You could look at 205/55/16 if it's an 07+ mondeo, I got michelins and pirellis for €80 a corner fitted. 215 is a more expensive tyre as its not as common, and the size difference is negligible.
If you're getting 4 then it's a good time to think about a slightly different size.

I had this option on a Vectra a few years ago, the circumference on the 205 wide is a hair lower than the 215's but not enough to make a difference. You'd probably get those Falkens cheaper than 80 quid a corner. If you buying 4 together its a no brainer

rang a few local places this morning pricing 4 tyres.

my usual crowd had my same tyre again Federal, and I was thinking no way, you lost a client if you're charging me the same.
    prices

    Federal €125 a corner. + 30 for tracking
    Triangle €100 a corner + 30 for tracking

    rang a second spot

    Mohawk €85 a corner + 30 for Tracking
    Kumho €100 a corner + 30 for Tracking

    third spot
    Firestone at €130 a corner
    Starmax €90 a corner

my usual spot is having a laugh with those options and prices.

really considering the Kumho, but wont have them in till Tuesday.

meant to add, that lad in the second place mentioned if i dropped a size, i could get them kumhos for 85 a piece.

    seriously thinking about it.

€85 for 205/55 16 Kumho is a bit high IMO. You'd get a Bridgestone tyre for that price.

    120 a corner Pirelli Tyre,

i ask what actual tyre was it, he said , the formula 1 tyre and laughed.

    i dont some people,
i wouldn't fork out 500 quid on just any LG or Samsung TV, i want the model.
Nearly every Tyre fitter just names a brand, but no matter what the label, they always do a budget priced tyre, the real tale is in the detail,
anyway, pinch of salt with this crowd.
dunno what to make of it

Fair enough - I use the branch in Artane and found them pretty good. Told him I wanted Continental premium contacts 5's (205/50/15) was told €90 a corner fitted (they were €87 each online at the time).
They also fitted some Falken Ze912s 255/45/15's on the back that I got online for below cost at a charge of €10 each

Above sounds spammylicious but I've no connections with these guys just a satisfied customer ;)

I just took a look this evening at buying the tyres on line etc and getting them fitted.

    €50 to fit say,

I can get me kumhos for €80

    Firestone for €95

    Falkin for €101

This method seems a no brainer. .

    I looked at oponeo.co m

i got my falkens from there when they were uber cheap - they tried to lump €30 onto the cost ringing me up and all, I told them to cancel the order and i'll go to eiretyres.

They honored it in the end so I can't fault them really
