Recommend a car for my budget?

    Hey, Im considering changing car and I was hoping for some advice.

    I currently have a 2005 Volvo S40 2.0D which I am hoping to sell Interior and Exterior in great condition. I paid €4000 for it a few months ago from a dealer. What should I expect to get for it if I sell privately or trade in?

    I then have another €6000 (Max 7000) to put towards it.

    I love the S40 and the car I had before it (2005 Accord) but I want something newer. At the moment my main ideas are an Insignia or a Ford Focus. I do about 50/50 motorway and town driving but the MPG is not to important to me, just the comfort and quality. However I cant have anything above 130/140 bhp for insurance as Im 22 and had an accident in June 2014.

    What car would be recommended?
