Hi guys. First time car buyer looking for reliable automatic car dealer in dublin. Searching online it seems two dealers deal in mostly automatics (especially the mazda 2 im looking at).

    1. Choice cars in Lusk
    2. Automatic motor car company in Rushe

Has anyone had any dealings with either. Im wary of dealers who chamge name a lot and deal in japanese imports with low milage etc. Due to only being able to drive auto my choice is a bit limited.

    Cheers

    FP

Most of these automatic specialists import used cars from Japan.

Most or all of the Mazda 2s you'll see in Ireland are Mazda Demio Japanese imports

Thanks. Will that affect my insurance? Like will an irish insurer have a problem insuring a japanese import?

Yes, often it will be an issue with insurers. That's not to say it's impossible, but it certainly makes it more difficult/potentially more expensive.

Yes. Japanese import brings much higher risk - the parts are usually available only as Japan imports as well. That makes them more expensive and the whole process longer.

Personally would not touch a Japan import with a stick...
