One Month Until Test

    Hi all!

It's a month until my test, and I'm just wondering what I should be practicing?

I've started driving by myself recently- I know, naughty, but it's the only way I could get some practice in. I'm also having a few mock-test style lessons, which are grand, but I still don;t fell like I've ''revised'' enough for the exam so to speak!

    Thanks!

Ohh you shouldn't have said about driving alone - your going to get a big lecture, take it from me :)

I know, but I'm a bit older than most learners, and my work/life situation kind of calls for it atm!

Good luck to you! My test is also a month away and I only have 12 lessons done, no driving at all other than that, and none until. Suffice to say I'm nervous, haha.

I reckon the most important thing, although I cannot speak from experience, is being familiar with the test area. It's what I'm told constantly by people I know who have passed their tests. Just be confident driving in the area and you should be fine (observation, positioning etc. taken for granted)

Mine is in 2 weeks...don't feel like I'm ready at all! I'm making sure to do very obvious observations in my normal everyday driving. Also need to start cracking on reversing around corners...2 weeks before the test haha. If you live near your test route I would advise practising that, getting to know the roundabouts etc.

Id say the most important thing is to get comfortable with other users on the road.

People will pull out in front of you, undertake you, block yellow boxes and entrances, pass parked cars when there is clearly no space etc.

You have to remain calm and not let these situations force an error from yourself.

Actually, that is my major worry- I'm trying to test my test center (from Tallaght to the new Rathgar one), but I suppose I should just practice them both!!
